Are Clear Aligners Good for Teenagers?
It depends on the teen. For 3M™ Clarity™ Aligners to be effective, your teen will need to wear their trays at least 22 hours a day. In general, most teenagers have the self-discipline to do so. Your teen should only remove their aligners to brush, floss, and eat, and they should also remove them when drinking anything other than water.

How Long Will My Teenager Need Braces?
The average patient wears teen braces for 18 to 24 months. However, it’s important to remember that each patient is different. Your teen’s treatment may take longer if complex tooth or jaw movements are needed. During your teen’s consultation, we’ll map out their treatment plan so you both know what to expect.

Depending on your teen’s case, they may have already completed phase 1 treatment. In this situation, Phase 2 would not begin until all permanent adult teeth have erupted.
