How Do Clear Aligners Work?
Clear aligners gradually shift the position of your teeth over time. Each aligner tray is custom-made to fit your teeth, and you’ll wear each tray for a few weeks before returning to our office to switch it out for the next one.
Aligners can often achieve the same results as traditional metal braces in a shorter amount of time. However, you must be diligent about wearing your trays for 20–22 hours per day, removing them only for eating, cleaning, or the occasional special event. For this reason, we do not recommend clear aligners for children or teens.
