Treatment Coordinators
Our Treatment Coordinators are here to ensure that your orthodontic treatment is as efficient as possible and that you thoroughly understand every part of your treatment plan. They do a wonderful job assisting our patients with any questions about their treatment and addressing any other concerns that may arise.
Front Administration Team
Our front desk team is here to make your orthodontic care as convenient as possible. They do an excellent job assisting our patients with scheduling, insurance or financial questions, and any other concerns that may arise.
Clinical Team
Our clinical team does an excellent job assisting Dr. Hannapel and Dr. Pellillo with your treatment. The entire team is dedicated to providing you with the highest level of patient care. This commitment includes ongoing training and continuing education for all team members.
We are proud to be an AOAC Gold Team Certified practice. This designation is awarded by a leading education and training program in the orthodontic profession. Extensive time, study, and testing are required to complete the program, and our practice has met all the requirements for this team certification. When you choose our practice as your orthodontic provider, you can be confident you are in qualified hands.

Hi, I'm Erika. I’ve dedicated over 25 years of my career to orthodontics and truly enjoy helping patients achieve beautiful, healthy smiles. I also love being involved in my community and making a positive impact wherever I can.
When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my family and friends. I enjoy expressing my creativity through interior decorating, crafting, and cooking. I also love traveling, spending time outdoors, reading, running, and of course watching football during the season. Go Blue! and Go Cowboys!

Clinic Coordinator
Hello! I'm Tena, and I have been with Team HPO since 2017. My journey in orthodontics began in 2011, sparked by a deep fascination with how transformative a healthy, confident smile can be. Over the years, that passion has only grown driven by a commitment to helping patients feel their best, both inside and out.
I live in Hastings with my husband Jordan and our daughter, Lucy. Outside of the office, I find joy in spending quality time with my family, whether we’re enjoying a quiet evening at home or exploring new experiences together. I’m also an avid reader, always eager to learn and grow both personally and professionally. Giving back to my community is another important part of my life, and I actively seek out ways to support local causes and uplift those around me.
Orthodontics is more than just a career to me, it's a calling rooted in care, connection, and creating lasting impact.

Hi, I’m Karina! I’ve been a clinical assistant at Hannapel Pellillo Orthodontics since 2015 which basically means I’ve spent years perfecting the art of making braces less scary and smiles more fabulous. I’m bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to connect with a diverse range of patients and ensure everyone feels comfortable and understood. I strongly believe that a good laugh is just as important as straight teeth!

I have worked for Hannapel Pellillo Orthodontics since 2008. I live in Grand Haven with my husband, Brad, and our two children, Trent and Megan. I enjoy spending time at our family cottages, camping, and simply being outdoors!

Clinical Team
Hello, I'm Lily! I recently moved from the east side of Michigan and have been part of the orthodontic world since I was 14, when I started helping after school at a local orthodontist’s office near my home. From that moment, I fell in love with orthodontics and have continued to grow in this field since moving to the west side of the state.
When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my family, playing golf, or enjoying the outdoors. I’m so thankful to have found HPO it truly feels like my second family.

Front Administration/ Treatment Coordinator
Hi, my name is Alaina, and I was fortunate enough to join the HPO team in November 2021. You can find me at the front desk, always welcoming you and your family with a warm smile. My goal is to make sure you leave our office happy and completely satisfied with your experience! Outside of work, I enjoy going on hikes with my two dogs and spending time in the garden with my husband. A fun fact about me is that I have over 20 houseplants, one of which is over 6 feet tall!

Hi! I've worked in the dental field for over eight years and am excited to join the HPO team and learn more about orthodontics! My daughter was treated here with braces and now has an amazing smile.
I live in Hastings with my husband and two children. I love hiking and kayaking during the warm months, but once winter hits, I try to stay inside. Before settling back in Hastings, where I grew up, I lived in Florida for six years and California for six years. That was fun, but it’s good to be back!

Hi, my name is Angie. I have been at HPO since 2019 and have worked as an orthodontic assistant since 2001. I enjoy being in orthodontics and building relationships with our patients. I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 2004, and we have two boys. Most of our time is spent driving them to their sporting events or practices, and we love it. We also enjoy traveling and exploring new places.

My name is Zoey. I am a Registered Dental Assistant and graduated from the Dental Assisting program at GRCC in 2024. I was a patient here at HPO and was fortunate enough to join the team after graduation! Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, and being outdoors.

Hi, my name is Grace!
I’ve been creating smiles here at HPO for years now and have truly enjoyed every moment of it. When I’m not at the office, I’m spending time with my two boys, who I love dearly. I enjoy being crafty, trying out new recipes in the kitchen, and learning new things...especially when I get to share them with my boys.

I grew up in Fort Wayne, IN, and graduated as class Vice President and a Certified Dental Assistant from the Indiana University Fort Wayne Dental Assisting Program. I began my career in Oral Surgery and General Dentistry, but found my true passion in Orthodontics where I’ve spent the last 22 years, including my favorite 12 with Hannapel Pellillo Orthodontics!
As an AOA Certified Orthodontic Assistant, I especially enjoy working with teens and encouraging them throughout their treatment journey.
Outside of work, I love decorating, landscaping, reading, coloring, being outdoors (when it’s warm!), and binge-watching good shows. But most of all, I cherish time at home with my family—my husband Clay, our children Rachel, Dominic, and Derrick, our five wonderful grandchildren Will, Gia, Rosie, and Riley, and our furry friends, Jay the dog and Bear the cat!

My name is Casie, and I was blessed to join HPO in June 2023. I have been an orthodontic assistant for five years. On the weekends, I enjoy hunting with my fiancé, Wyatt, and cuddling with my two dogs, Sonder and Colt. I'm so happy and excited to help all of you on your journey to a new smile!
