Caledonia & Hastings Orthodontic Care
Does your teenager dread wearing braces? Good news! Our orthodontists in Caledonia & Hastings, MI, offer discreet options to straighten your child’s teeth AND boost their confidence. Also, braces will help your teen achieve a beautiful, healthy smile to last a lifetime.
What Orthodontic Services Do You Offer?
Hannapel Pellillo Orthodontics offers 3M™ Clarity™ Aligners, ceramic braces, and self-ligating braces. We can also customize traditional metal braces with different colored ligature ties. That way, your child can express their own unique style!
Does your teenager play a contact sport? If so, ask us about getting a sports mouth guard to protect their teeth and gums while they play.
Are Clear Aligners Good for Teenagers?
It depends on the teen. In order for 3M Clarity Aligners to work, your child will need to wear their trays at least 22 hours a day. In general, most teenagers have the self-discipline to wear their aligners. Your teen should only remove their clear aligners to brush, floss, and eat. They should also remove their aligners when drinking anything other than water.
Aren’t sure if 3M Clarity Aligners is the right choice? Schedule a consultation with one of our orthodontists in Caledonia. They’d be more than happy to walk you and your teen through available options.
How Long Will My Teenager Need Braces?
The average patient wears teen braces for 18 to 24 months. But it’s important to remember that each patient is different. Your child’s treatment may take longer if they need complex movements of the teeth and jaws. During your child’s consultation, we’ll map out their journey so you both know what to expect.
Depending on your child’s case, they may have already received Phase 1 Treatment. In this situation, we wouldn’t start Phase 2 until your child has all their permanent adult teeth.
