Our team is thrilled that you have chosen us to help you with your orthodontic care. It is our goal to help you achieve a beautiful, healthy smile in an atmosphere that is fun and rewarding. We will do all that we can to eliminate any surprises and make your orthodontic visits as comfortable and carefree as possible.
We are your support team, with many years of experience in the dental “smiles” field. To ensure that you receive excellence in all areas of your care, each team member is required to have exceptional skills with the latest technological advancements as well as excellent communication skills. Continuing education is ongoing and you can count on us to remain at the top of our field.

Treatment Coordinators
Our Treatment coordinators are here to help make your orthodontic treatment as efficient and that you thoroughly understand every part of the treatment plan. They do a wonderful job of helping our patients with questions about treatment and any other concerns that may arise.
Front Desk Team
Our front desk team is here to help make your orthodontic care as convenient as possible. They do a wonderful job of helping our patients with their scheduling needs, questions about insurance or finances, and any other concerns that may arise.
Clinical Team
Our clinical team does a wonderful job assisting Dr. Hannapel and Dr. Sonni with your treatment. Our entire team is dedicated to providing you with the best patient care available. Part of that responsibility is training and continuing education for our team members.
We are proud to be an AOAC Gold Team Certified practice. This designation is provided by a leading education and training program for the orthodontic profession. Extensive time, study, and testing are required to pass this program and our practice has met the requirements for this team certification. You are in qualified hands when you select our practice as your orthodontic provider.

I have worked in the general dentistry field since 2005. I am excited to be a part of HPO Smiles. I enjoy working with Patients and their families to achieve healthy beautiful smiles.
When I am not at work my husband, Butch and I are enjoying our nearly empty nest. We have two adult children, Tyler and Madison and our pup Watson. We enjoy spending time up North and our new found freedom to do some traveling.

Hi! I joined Hannapel Pellillo Orthodontics in 2018 and I love working at the front desk and helping patients. I have worked in dentistry for 2 years and I love learning more about orthodontics. I am married to my husband, Austin, and we have an adorable daughter, Kensleigh. I love being outside in the summertime and going on vacation with my family!

I have worked for Hannapel Pellillo Orthodontics since 2008. I live in Grand Haven with my husband, Brad, and our two children, Trent and Megan. I enjoy spending time at our family cottages, camping, and just being outside!

My name is Amy and I joined HPO in Jan of 2021 I have been a dental assistant for the past 11 years! I love orthodontics and watching kids grow into a great smile. I love traveling, spending time with family and golfing in my free time.

Hi my name is Alaina and I was fortunate enough to join the HPO team in November of 2021. You can find me at the front desk always welcoming you and your family with a warm smile. My goal is to make sure you leave our office happy and completely satisfied with your experience! Outside of work I enjoy going on hikes with my two dogs, and spending time in then garden with my husband. A little fun fact about me is I have over 20 houseplants, one of them being over 6 feet tall!

My name is Karina and I am one very proud Mexican American! I started working at Dr. Hannapel’s office in 2015. I love my job and what we do every day to create beautiful smiles. It has also been a perk to be able to translate for our Hispanic families in the office. When I’m not at work, I love to spend time with my family. We recently purchased our first home in Hastings! My daughter and son keep me on my toes, but I love them to pieces! All that I’m after is a life full of laughter!

Hi! I've worked in the dental field for over 8 years and am excited to join the HPO team and learn more about orthodontics! My daughter was treated here with braces and now has an amazing smile.
I live in Hastings with my husband and two children. I love hiking and kayaking in the warm months, but once winter hits I try to stay inside.
Before settling down back in Hastings where I grew up, I lived in Florida for six years and California for six years. That was fun but it's good to be back!

Hi! My name is Tena and I started working with Dr. Hannapel in 2017. In the summer of 2018, I married my best friend, Jordan. We recently relocated to Hastings with our cat. I am also a huge Fleetwood Mac fan (my spirit animal is Stevie Nicks!). My husband and I enjoy finding cool antique stores around Michigan, with my cup of Biggby in hand!

When I am not working you can find me hanging out with my husband, 4 children, our huge family or with friends. Also, Love cooking, changing things up in my home, traveling, shopping or watching football ( during football season)…Go Blue! And Go Cowboys!

Hi, my name is Angie. I have been at HPO since 2019. I have been an orthodontic assistant since 2001. I enjoy being in Ortho and building relationships with our patients. I have been married to my high school sweetheart since 2004 and we have 2 boys. Most of our time is spent driving them around to their sporting events or practice and we love it. We also love to travel and see new places.

Hi, my name is Therese. I've been in a dental assistant since 1986. I graduated from Purdue University in Indiana. I've spent the last 19 years in the orthodontic field, they have been the most enjoyable year of my life, especially at HPO. My hobbies include time spent with my family doing a variety things, gardening, reading, collecting horse portraits and of course TV binges!

My name is Casie and I was blessed to join HPO June of 2023. I have been an Ortho assistant for 5 years now. On the weekend I do a lot of hunting with my fiancé Wyatt and a lot of cuddling with my 2 dogs, Sonder and Colt. I'm so happy and excited to help all of you on your journey to a new smile!
